The “Change Your Life” raptress has just released the album artwork for The New Classic, but is it really “classic” worthy?
On the cover we see Iggy sporting a colorful Pucci outfit while posing in front of a tacky 70s-esque house.
Her name and album title are written in classic Miami Vice font which is kind of perfect for the feel of this cover!
We love Iggy here at HOTM, but doesn’t this album cover seem just a bit underwhelming for such a promising artist?
But then again, the more I look at it, the more I’m starting to love it. Plus, it’s really more about the music, right?
Iggy thinks so…
“What makes something classic is when you hear it and you have that moment that is a time capsule,” she explained during an interview.
“When I say The New Classic, I just want to make records that give you that moment for fans that they can remember where they were when they heard it.”
Anyways, the album drops April 15, but you can pre-order it on March 4 on itunes. The record features her singles “Work,” the T.I. assisted “Change Your Life,” and “Fancy” with Charli XCX.
Are you excited for The New Classic? Do you think this will be Iggy’s big break?
