And just when you thought Tyga couldn’t get any scummier… The rapper is being accused of relentlessly texting “uncomfortable” messages to a 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL!
On Monday, teenager Molly O’Malia came forward, alongside her lawyer Gloria Allred (of course), following a tabloid report breaking the news.
In the story, published by OK! Magazine, the relationship was presented as a sexual one and according to Allred it portrayed her client in “a completely false light.”
“The truth is that Tyga contacted me first. He direct messaged me on Instagram. I knew who he was but I was surprised that he was contacting me,” O’Malia said during yesterday’s news conference.
The young teenager, who happens to be an aspiring singer and model, initially thought that Kylie Jenner‘s boyfriend was interested in her music.
“I thought that it could possibly be about my music, but he did not mention that in his initial communication with me. I thought that was strange.”
Then things got weirder when the 26-year-old began insinuating that they meet up in person, asking her when she would be in LA and if he could have her phone number.
“I began to feel uncomfortable when he asked me to FaceTime with him,” she continued. “He asked me to FaceTime 3 times, but I did not do it. Because of my discomfort with why he wanted to communicate with me I quickly stopped responding to him. It’s crazy how so much can come out of nothing.”
A rep for the rapper released a statement today saying that Tyga did in fact reach out to the 14-year-old, but that it was strictly business.
Tyga claims that he and his team were interested in having her be a part of a Last Kings Records (his record label) project and that things never got “uncomfortable,” as she claims.
And here’s where things turn a bit. Text messages have been obtained and in them it seems that O’Malia had actually told Tyga she’s 17.
Yeah, something tells me she might have forgot to tell her lawyer that part of the story.
I guess we’ll just have to see what happens.
