WWE wrestler Joanie Laurer a.k.a. Chyna has died at the age of 45! Police are currently investigating her Redondo Beach home where the body was discovered.
Law enforcement is reportedly investigating the death as a possible overdose due to Chyna’s drug history.
Prescription bottles were found in her home, but no illegal drugs have been found.
A statement was posted to Chyna’s Twitter saying, “It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero.”
“She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her.”
According to reports, law enforcement received a call around 7:30PM tonight after the body was discovered.
Chyna was a huge deal during her days with the WWE and was the first woman to enter the Royal Rumble. She later went on to pose for Playboy and quickly entered the world of reality TV.
She then transitioned in to the porn industry, making 6 film from 2004 to 2013.
Unfortunately, she struggled with addiction for years and it was made all the more apparent during her appearance on “Celebrity Rehab” back in 2008.
While it seemed like she had cleaned up her act, it’s possible she may have fallen off the wagon in recent years.
